Rainbow - Deal Approval Process: Client Application

The user has to download our java client from the provided Google-Drive folder. An internet connection is required in order to execute the client and the current Java version (14) has to be installed (be careful to also have the correct environment settings).
You can launch the application by “java -jar rainbow.jar” via terminal or by double-clicking the application.
In general, after each “OK” or “Continue” press of a window you have to wait up to 20 seconds, because camunda needs some time to process each step.

Once the application is launched, please perform the following steps:
Enter your matriculation number and click “OK” to proceed with your contract request. After that, a new window where you can request a new project opens.

Please provide all the project details you wish to request or just hit “OK” in case you want to proceed with the default request.
Wait for a popup that tells you whether your project request has been accepted or rejected and click “OK”.

In case your request has been accepted, a popup called “Please be patient, your offer will be presented soon!” will appear. Again, click “OK”.

A new “Offer” window will appear and show you the offer details. It may take some time until the offer details are displayed. Continue by pressing “Continue”.

In the “Feedback” window that will open shortly after you clicked “Continue” you can accept or decline the offer. You can also provide some individual feedback that will be considered accordingly.
In case you accepted the offer your final contract with all the project details will be presented in the “Contract” window. Click “OK” to finish. A “Your Process Finished” popup will appear. By clicking “OK” the program will finish and close.

By selecting “decline offer” and after pressing “Continue” we will provide you a new offer with reduced costs and you can continue with step 5 of our manual again. However, in case you choose to decline the offer again, the process will be canceled.

If you close the java application at any point during the process you can continue the process by starting the java client again and providing your matriculation number again.
