Austrian vaccination green card system

Project 1

The application is designed to ensure a digital workflow that organizes appointments of getting vaccinated. Therefore, patients are able to register on a website with their personal data and get an appointment for a vaccination. After successfully vaccinating a person, the medical personnel confirms a vaccination and the patient gets a QR-code as a virtual "Green Card" to enter public events.

To test the "Austrian Vaccination Green Card System" application, proceed as follows:

The students are acting as patients to test the workflow application.
The patient visits the website https://registration.wfm-green-card-system.de/ to register for a vaccination appointment entering their first name and last name. Also, the patients enter their social security number, although this does not have to be real one.
Then the patients enter their email address (for the testing of the system, entering the TU- mail address is preferred), as well as the address and medical conditions. Optionally, patients can enter their (real!) phone numbers to get informed by SMS as well. After that, a desired day of the week for the vaccination appointment can be selected and the data is submitted.

The next possible vaccination date will be calculated and a notification will be sent by cell phone and/ or by mail. There is also a reminder sent out before the appointment.

After the vaccination was completed, the patient's green card will be generated and the QR code will be sent to the patient by mail. If the vaccination was not successful, a new vaccination appointment will be booked and the patient will be contacted again.

Doctor:
The project group is going to simulate the vaccination itself. Therefore, the following part of confirming the vaccination is not relevant for testing the system as a patient.
On the website https://www.wfm-green-card-system.de/vaccination_confirmation.php the doctor can enter whether the patient is available for the appointment and the vaccination was successful.

works,got email,time slot and sms

In Firefox I can't enter the 6th digit of year in the social security number :-(

Thanks for the feedback, we will have a look at it!

From first point of view the application works fine, you can enter the data, get your mail with the time slot, a Reminder Mail and could vaccinate myself with the "good stuff" Small things I noticed where, the system does not care if you enter a security number at all and does not check the length of it. Even the e-mail is not checked when I tried test.at it was possible for me to proceed so I would never receive any mail. In the Vaccination view the doctor does not see if medical conditions are present or not. Last thing is that the reminder mail is a little fast... you enter your data get the mail and like in the same second you get your reminder (I assume it is only that fast for simulation purposes) :) But as overall conclusion: nice simulation that does what it should.

Hi Denise, thanks for the lengthy feedback. You are completely right, we did only implement a very rough client side validation, for example the SSN is checked. We will have a look at how we can make that more sophisticated. Regarding the comment on the reminder message: Please check the other comment I posted for clarification.

Works well, I got the confirmation email for registration. It was a bit weird to get a reminder 5min later, although I registered for Thursday and I would expect to get that maybe a day before or something cause this won't make sense to be reminded right away. I would want to see if I would get another reminder but this is what I noticed until now.

Hello, thanks for the Feedback. Please check my response below where I explain why this is an intended behaviour in this Demo.

Works well. The email could be more descriptive. Would like to have error messages describing what from input fields I am missing. I don't know which fields are required. Also, hope to get an email on when my vaccination is over.

Hello Omar, we will check on how to improve the email and the input user feedback. And yes, you will get another Email then! :)

I tested the application on Firefox 88.0 I could not put my whole social security number in the form (did not take the 6th digit of my birthday). After that I got the email and 5 minutes later the reminder (even though my appointment was 5 days in the future).

Hello Julian, thank you for the feedback. You are the second Person to describe that issue in Firefox. We never used that Browser, but we will check why that issue occurs. Concerning the timing of the reminder mail, please refer to my other comment where I explain why this behaviour is intended. BR, Felix

Generally works fine, though Confirmation and reminder deliver very closely together. SMS also works fine and is a nice addition

Hi Clemens, this behaviour is intended, please read my other comment for explanation :) BR, Felix

Workflow worked fine, received Email

Since there seems to be quite some confusion about the timing of the reminder and the initial notification: We intentionally chose to send the notification just a few minutes after the registration as we are demoing the system and it would be of no use if the reminder arrived only after the evaluation period has ended. In a production environment, the Notification would be sent one or two days before the actual vaccination appointment, but here, we just wanted to show that it works. Hope that helps understanding why we chose to implement it like this :)

works fine, nice ui as others have described i could not enter my whole social security number (Firefox 89)

The workflow is fine and your user interface is really nice. When using Firefox I had the same problem as others that I could not enter the full social security number, however, with Chrome everything worked fine. I also received both emails and with your clarification on the reminder email everything is fine.

All the tasks worked fine. The UI is nice designed and easy to interacte. I received the email.

Nice UI, everything worked perfectly for me. Got 2 mails shortly after submitting the form. Nice idea to also include SMS confirmations.

Everything worked as described. The UI is well designed and easy to understand

Worked as described, got the email.

I registered and got the "Demo Email" and after that vaccinated myself. I did not receive any vaccination confirmation thought. But I liked the possibility to receive an SMS.

Everything worked as expected, I even could use the AutoFill function using Google Chrome. Very convenient. Also a nice UI with high Usability, which is quite important regarding the broad range of users (also old people). Received all mails/sms.

Worked as described. I used chrome and faced no issues on any validation or data input. Also recieved both mails. Really nice UI! :)

Worked as described. Received the email.
