Project 3

With our Digital Green Certificate Verification, we aim to ensure smooth air / rail / bus travel for vaccinated people. We want to provide a simple, safe and reliable verification process for vaccinated people, so they can finally visit their dream destination.

For this, the DGC-number will be validated, so that the booking is only successful in case of a valid DGC number. In our application, we simulated the booking process for multiple travel companies.

How can you test our application?

  1. Open the login page, which you can find on https://juu.es/dgc
  2. Enter your student e-mail address. For this, please use the address with the 8-digits matriculation number, i.e. eXXXXXXXX@student.tuwien.ac.at. If you have a 7-numbers matriculation number, try to add a 0 as a prefix, e.g. e01234567@student.tuwien.ac.at. You should get your confirmation this way!
  3. Please use the following password for login: demo
  4. After successful login, you should be redirected to the tickets-page, where you can simply select the desired tickets. For the booking-process, just insert some arbitrary data (no personal data) that is accepted by the form-validation. However, for the DGC, enter your 8-digits matriculation number (e.g. 12345678). After entering the data, please click on "Purchase tickets" to complete the booking.
  5. If the matriculation number in the student e-mail address matches with the DGC-number, you should shortly (may take a few minutes) receive an invoice and the corresponding tickets in two separate mails. If these two do not match, you should receive an e-mail that your DGC-number could not be validated.

Thank you for testing our application.

works

My email address contains only 7 digits as matriculation number. Therefore the DGC didn't match Hint for other testers: In the field for the credit card number you have to add a space manually after each four digits group

In general the system seems to work, because I also have an mail address with only 7 digits I did not receive an confirmation (only that the validation was not possible). Otherwise I have the following small remarks: Why is it that for some destinations I can book 4 tickets and for others only 1? Is there a logic behind it :) ? For the credit card number it is possible if you do not add manually the spaces to enter a longer number. In the expiration date it is possible to enter as example the 15th month of the year... which does not exist Otherwise nice looking simulation.

Could not get a matching format. It would be nice to have some description about input errors.

Works fine! Just one comment I don't know if it is just me but I had to put space when I put my card number, it says to match the format. It would be nice if it is done automatically instead of putting space :) But other than that, I look good and I like it.

Just a comment on the 7 digit e-mail: It is automatically rerouted, so you can either type it with 8 (so with a 0 at the beginning) or 7 digits, so please for the test use the 8 digit E-Mail. Please keep that in mind, thank you!

For the testing purpose it would have been nice If the receiving of the invoice doesn't take that long and I also couldn't get a match between email and DGC number, but I really liked the interface!

I think you did a great job with your implementation. The email attachments look great, nice job! One small thing I would like to add is that without consulting the explanation here there is no way to know what a DCG-Number is or what to enter there. Maybe a small info field wouldn't be bad. But other than that there really is nothing to complain.

Works fine, as others have noted the inputs could have been more user friendly

Everything worked well for me and with your step-by-step instructions on what to enter, it was clear to me what inputs were needed.

Everthing worked fine and it was easy to purchase the tickets I wanted, with your instructions.

The application testing worked well. The tickets-page is nicely designed and the pdf-file attached to the email looks professional. Nice job!

Everything worked as well. I liked the Validation of the input fields and nice job on the generated Booking pdf!

Nice application! It would have been nice to test whether a "matriculate number email" was used (e.g. by checking the suffix and report an error if another email was used. I used my gmail address, never received the email but also never was pointed to a wrong email entry. Besides this, everything looks nice and seems to work!

Unfortunately, I haven't received any mail at all. However, this is probably because I logged in with the email address with my 8-digit matriculation number before I read that "demo" should be used as password. I then went through the whole process again as described, but I still didn't receive any mail (probably because I had already logged in with my email address and a password that wasn't "demo"). The user interface looks good and the user experience is satisfactory in my opinion. In the case of invalid entries, a corresponding message is displayed. It would only have been advantageous if the button for purchasing the ticket would always be visible without having to scroll down the page. However, this is only a small suggestion for improvement.

I received the mails now. All in all it is a cool application!

With the right DCG i got the "success" mail with attachment -> so that works fine With the wrong DCG i got the "failure" mail -> so that works fine too It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't purchase but I just had to add spaces to the credit card number.

Everything worked quite fine from a workflow-perspective. Regrading the implementation I have two small concerns. The first one is, that I entered the information of an expired credit card, which was not recognized/checked by the system. Also, even though the attachments of the emails look nice and I do not know the implementation of your workflow, I think it would be nice to receive the two attachments (invoice, tickets) in one mail. But these are only tiny issues, great work.

works well with a 7-digits matriculation number!

Everything works well. Received the emails
