Application Domain Description:

The tourism sector in Austria is two-folded: city tourists and mountain tourists. In both worlds, there are so many options to choose from.
If you have never been in Austria, it is really hard to decide which accommodation is the right one. Especially from the outside the differences between accommodations are hard to see. This is not only a problem for the tourist, but also for the hotels that are unable to get their USPs to the customer.
This is why hotels should start to use Hotelify - a hotel recommender system for Austria.

Who is the customer of your process?
B2B2C -> Tourists that want to go on holiday and hotels that participate in Hotelify.

What is the result (service or product) of your process?
The correct (according to the user's requirements) hotel is chosen for the customer.

What are the most important activities in the process?

User states his preferences and travel dates
Provide recommendations on User <-> Hotel matches
Book the Hotel (send confirmation)/li>
Hotel manager confirms the booking manually (everyone of us is a hotel manager)
Ask customer for feedback

Modelling Comments:

The corrected bpmn model should cover all the problems that were mentioned in the feedback. After we connected our code to Camunda, we had to update the model again (see group_05_bpmn_v2_0).

You can visit our website at https://hotelify-start.vacatius.com/ and state your preferred travel times. Please enter the desired number of people for the vacation. Then add your preferred holiday type and the federal state you want to go to. Please notice that we only have 5 hotels, since everyone of our project is a hotel manager for his/her own hotel. You can choose “Any” if you don’t have any preferences. Based on your input we will calculate some recommendations for you. Choose a hotel and enter your personal details. The e-mail address is used for the confirmation email. Please also enter feedback, this is used for our KPIs. After some time your hotel manager will either accept or decline your booking depending on the booking data.
